On 21st September 2019, Plastictecnic (M) Sdn Bhd & Bangi Plastics Sdn Bhd took part in a nationwide beach clean-up that was conducted at Blue Lagoon Beach, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, organized by Trash Hero and Reef Check in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day. This event was also strongly supported by the Department of Fisheries of Port Dickson which gave us the golden opportunity to release 50 baby green turtles for the opening ceremony.

The event lasted and or about 4 hours where our volunteers in the end enjoyed the beauty and health of their beaches with waves jumping and birds watching. Instead of looking down to pick up plastic items, the beach goers could look out and up to enjoy all that the beaches have to offer. We managed to collect 337.29 pounds of trash using Clean Swell app to calculate.
Before heading back to the office, we were also given chance for the invitation to visit Ornamental Fish Centre which is an aquarium and marine conservation facility run by the Malaysian Department of Fisheries. They also serves as a research centre and incubator for marine ornamental fish, sea horses and coral reefs.
